"As I reach the age of 65 and will retire from full-timework in January 2011, I am able to offer an interesting and particularly attractive business opportunity – an ongoing lease on the gastronomy side of Prague’s unique gay resort Villa Mansland.

Villa Mansland, repeatedly highly rated by the International Spartacus Gay Hotel & Restaurant Guide, consists of two separate buildings in the Prague 8 district. The twin buildings have separate electrical, water and gas circuits and also separate entrances that would allow the hotel and restaurant businesses to be run independently of each other. I have set up a new limited company - Mansland GmbH - that I will hand over to the new tenant for the gastronomy.

The restaurant building has been subject to considerable investment, is well maintained and is fully furnished.

A lease is available for a bargain price of 1,400 Euros/month. That includes:

• the restaurant, bar, outside terrace, garden, kitchen and a small amusement arcade that generates a useful extra income (valued altogether at 1,000 Euros/month)

• a sauna, whirlpool and massage area (valued at 150 Euros/month)

• a basement suite offering personal or other accommodation as required (valued at 250 Euros/month)

The new lessee will also need to budget for the direct advance charges made for electricity, gas, water and waste disposal (one container per week) – none of those are included in the basic lease cost of 1,400 Euros/month.

The new lessee will need to provide proof of having 20,000 Euros in hand as capital immediately available to start running the business. He or she will take over the company Mansland GmbH and will be required to deposit a sum equivalent to three months’ charges, as well as paying the first month’s rent in advance.

As the hotel and gastronomy businesses are in many ways very dependent on each other for customer footfall and turnover, it is vital that the person who takes over the gastronomy is an experienced manager with relevant professional experience in the gay scene. That should include:

• the ability to plan and execute successful entertainment events

• interpersonal skills to deal with the boys who act as the Villa’s hosts

• linguistic skills to deal with the business’s international clientele

• general technical and organisational skills

• an appreciation of gastronomy • experience in motivating staff

This is an interesting and challenging role for a person of proven competence and ability. Any successful applicant will certainly be already aware of the need – and possess the ability - to interact successfully with our guests, our boy hosts, our international administrators and the media.
